A Place for Healing, Growth, and New Beginnings
At Tender Life Maternity Home, we believe every mother deserves the opportunity to build a healthy, stable future for herself and her child. Since 1985, we have provided a safe, supportive, faith-based home for women facing pregnancy and homelessness, offering encouragement, guidance, and the resources needed to move toward lasting independence.
We recognize that every woman who comes to Tender Life has her own story, experiences, and individual needs. Our program is designed to meet mothers where they are, providing an environment where they can grow, develop healthy life skills, strengthen their parenting abilities, and prepare for a brighter future.
Supporting Mothers Through Recovery
Tender Life Maternity Home remains committed to supporting mothers who are overcoming substance use and addiction. While not every woman entering our program has a history of substance use, we recognize the challenges of addiction and the importance of providing ongoing support, accountability, and access to recovery resources for those who need them.
Our staff encourages and supports mothers throughout their recovery journey through a structured program that includes:
Random Drug Testing: Regular, unannounced drug testing to encourage accountability and support a safe, healthy living environment.
Counseling and Personal Support: Access to counseling and guidance to help mothers work through personal challenges, address underlying issues, and develop healthier ways of navigating life's difficulties.
New Starts for Moms: Encouraging participation in New Starts for Moms as part of personal development, healing, and building a strong foundation for the future.
Recovery Support Groups: Encouraging participation in established recovery programs such as Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), providing opportunities for connection, encouragement, and continued support.
Ongoing Staff Support and Accountability: Our staff walks alongside mothers, offering guidance, encouragement, and accountability as they work toward healthier choices, personal growth, and lasting recovery.
Building a Foundation for the Future
We believe that lasting change involves more than overcoming immediate challenges. It means developing healthy habits, strengthening relationships, learning essential life skills, and gaining the confidence and tools needed to provide a stable home for a child.
Through individualized guidance, faith-based encouragement, life skills development, parenting support, and a structured residential environment, mothers are given the opportunity to grow emotionally, spiritually, and personally as they prepare for independent living.
